Previous Projects

The following is a sample of some of the 3D work I've done.

Clicking one of the images below will display a larger image in a new window.

The MiniSavers

The MiniSavers was the name for my parody of The ScreenSavers

Most of the action took place inside the computer case, so the set didn't need to be very detailed because it was going to be blurred in the final render for a depth-of-field effect.

Critical Mass

Update: Critical Mass has been released in resurrected form as "Extreme Justice", JS' Build site has the link Here.

Critical Mass was a Total Conversion for Duke Nukem 3D. I worked on the art, which consisted of sprites and textures as well as some art for the website. However with Tom Welsome's strange disappearance Thanksgiving 1999, it was the beginning of the end.

Tom(Rocketboy), who was in charge of the project, kept everybody motivated. With him gone, and nobody knowing what happened to him, the work slowed and then stopped.

After resigning to the fact that Tom probably wasn't coming back, JS tried his best to get everything going again, but it was too late. Before the TC's site was finally shutdown, JS posted this message.

Here's a small fraction of the work I did.

Along with my art duties Tom also asked me to come up with a new name for our group. Out of the twenty or so names I gave him, he narrowed it down to 'Brain Turf'.
The image on the left was my original concept for the BT logo. Tom eventually decided to use the one on the right.

Dirt

Dirt is from an animation I started, then put a hold on so I could work on Critical Mass.
Take note of the shadows around the big rock, those were raytraced. This was done by making a smaller version of the rock, putting it inside the original, and setting the small one to have edge transparency, then turning off shadowing for the big one. I'm fairly sure that's how I did it.

Dumb

Dumb is so named, because I built it while listening to the Garbage song of the same name. It was ment to be part of an animation, but yet again CM took all my time.

This was my second animation.

First Animation

Candies was my first animation. Circa Jan. 1997. It was 10 seconds long, and started with the jar's lid unscrewing floating down to the side, then one of the candies jumps up to the brim of the jar then down to the floor and speeds away.
